Also here after watching Vinesauce's stream. I really do love this and I think it's phenomenal. I do have a few suggestions for further updates that I think would be really amazing to see. First of all, activities, like some sports or even collectibles that are spread out around the map would be awesome to see implemented. Also, Mii NPC's roaming around so that Wuhu Island feels populated and alive. And lastly, an option to select between day, evening and night like in the original game. Anyway, I really adore this and I look forward to seeing future updates. Keep up the good work!
Also coming from binyorp/vinny, this game has genuinely became one of my favorite 'just space out' games where I just walk one direction while spacing out. I've always wanted to just take in the sights without a time limit in island flyover and here it is!
I hope the potential updates listed in the readme happen as it'll make the island feel more alive with tons of stuff to do! Even then with what's here its already amazing with just pure vibes all around!

Just out of curiosity, is there a noclip mode? I saw that there are some tunnels behind the doors in the ruins area and was wondering if they led somewhere, maybe some unused content?
I found this because of Vinny and I already loved what I saw! As a kid, I've always wished I could walk around Wuhu Island just to sightsee without any time limit or anything. I really hope this gets updated to add more things around the island. Maybe the interactive points like the Plane game did in Wii Sports Resorts, or just have random Miis walk around or sitting at the beach or something.
this is what I've always wanted for years, I'm not asking much I wish you would make this experience even more lively, fill it with npc or something, or have interactible button for description of places when you visit it, just like in the plane game.
actually, I wanna ask, is this open source? can I get hold of this project?
Love the concept, I could honestly see this being a mod to Wii Sports Restort. You'd be able to walk around the island and when you get to a specific location a prompt will pop up to where you can select the sport associated with that location. Say you walk up to the basketball court and you can select to play a game. Kinda like Nintendo Land on Wii U, where you can swap between either using the menu to instantly choose the game or walking around the plaza and moving yourself there. If you plan to go further with development, definitely consider adding random miis scattered around doing their own thing. It could be as simple as just them doing a basic walk cycle in a set area, but it'll at least help players not feel alone.
I'm loving what I'm seeing so far. I've honestly been looking around for a Wuhu Island Walkable game for some time now, so I'm very pleased and happy with what you've managed to accomplish! Being able to actually slow down and LOOK at Wuhu Island properly is a real treat.
That said, is it possible to add in a toggle of some kind to get rid of that blue and white dot in the center of the screen when I'm going into first person? It's a bit distracting.
Also, I do have to ask if you plan on making any new additions of any kind?
Your game starts at 00:48. Exploring Wuhu with quick travel and no time limit is something I've always wanted to do so this was a fantastic time. We couldn't tell the difference between the real island and yours. An excellent recreation and easy to enjoy!

I think in the ReadMe they say a freecam/ noclip mode is coming.
